Every installation starts with the building itself — its height, roof layout, and construction — to determine where air terminals, conductors, and grounding points need to go.
A Path to Ground, Not a Lightning Magnet
A lightning rod doesn't attract a strike. It gives lightning that would otherwise travel through the building's structure, wiring, or plumbing a deliberate, low-resistance path down the outside of the building and safely into the earth instead.
Roof-Level Components
Air terminals are mounted at a building's high points and ridgelines, connected by conductor cable that runs down the exterior of the structure.
Grounding & Bonding
Conductors terminate at grounding electrodes driven into the earth. Other large metal building components are bonded into the system to prevent dangerous side-flashing between them.
Inspection After Installation
A completed system is inspected before the job is considered done, and again as part of ongoing maintenance.
